I wrote that in the German section too. In the current issue of the magazin "Sonic Seducer" is mentionend in a short article that Heppner's solo-album is supposed to be released in the fall. Jose Alvarez will be (or amongst of) the producer (it has nothing to do with the former year project of the two), the title is not published yet while there is still quiety about Wolfsheim things.

After a so to speak quite mh "sportive" last half year its now finally finished! My first solo album... I cant believe it!!
After in 2006 the probability of a new Wolfsheim Publication was tending more and more to zero and I finally wasnt in the mood to sit and wait,I started in the beginnig of 2007 to finally work on my solo album.
After a few weeks a really good amount of musicals ideas had come together, where I ready fixed the singing melodies to.. the search for a suitable producer was getting more complicated than expected, thereelse more problems in preproducition with co composers-.. co producers ..cowhateverelse... all nothing great, but it took some time.. so sitting and waiting again.. at least at the end of 2007 problems were to be solved so I could start the immediate textwork... you wouldnt be working on the lyrics for weeks and work out the singing just to not be able to publish it due to legal or other causes..

I still didnt have a producer then.. Jose Alvarez Brill was already the producer of some songs... the rest was just jinxed.. each producer I asked was to busy or had other reasons, why we couldnt work together. So I started going in bigger circles so to speak looking outside of germany


I have to say, in the beginning I was very skeptical. well its kind of hard to discuss with a germanspeaking producer about a piece of music.. music is hard to put into words... but this in english and so??

whatever.. in the beginning this was not the questionm but I had the same problems as in germany, all producers, I asked were totally booked out.. I was running out of ideas lately.. then I realised that I already had a suitable and experienced producer in my "staff" Peter John Vettesse
He is a composer too and in this quality he already had contributed an amount of very nice compositions., but the idea, he could produce these and the rest of the album, didnt come to my mind until then.. He was at least THE peter john vettesse, who already in the 80s worked with "acts" like Frankie goes to Hollywood, Go West, Pet Shop Boys , Clannad, later with the Simple Minds,Annie Lennox, Dido, Sophie B Hawkins and just lately with Mel c... .
It was unbelievable enough that he was on board at all.. but nearly a complete album production? .. as a producer?? .. that was something completely different.
well, desperate situations require desperate actions... so I just asked him.. and to my dear astonishment he was ready to listen to the further songs of the album.. he come over, we sit together and I tried to explain, where I wanted to get to with the songs and the whole album... it came to a nice very long evening, where in the end it was clear we would do this production together.. also my thoughts about language barriers were all gone

this was the point where this productions went really "sport" Jose is living in Berlin, Peter John in London, myself in Hamburg. A few weeks I was "jumping" between
these 3 cities where you can detect some of the following things..
..german customs employees know a real lot of german indie music scene
.. the way to the airport in some cities is longer then it takes to get through the check in, passport control, luggage control, security control AND flight
.. how few you get to see of a town while youre in there for weeks
... that you better change your watch though its only one hour of time difference mit Augen rollen

in spite of all these difficulties the album developed itself just brilliant, the stays in england, the english speaking production with Peter John and his
Sound-Engineer Marc 'Tufty' Evans, became a motor for the rest of my "lyric work" .. thats more easy when youre In the language anyway..

in the middle of june, the artistic works of the album where finished and it went into mastering, where the production ist made "ready for cd" and the last disagreements in sound where fixed.
So what should I say now.. now Im just holding the finished master cd in my hands.. .. these days its getting published internal at my solo label wea, for the first time in a bigger round and is going into production afterwards.. well it will take until september for the first single to be published.. as a taste of the album, which should be published the same month

and how is the cd now? my first solo record?
I think its great Im listening to it the whole day... that is no surprise... .. wouldnt it be like that I would be still in production and working on it, until it is great

the positive reactions of the few people who had the chance to listen to it already make me very confidnet. .. that you might like it too

In 1 or 2 weeks on this site I will publish a few "appetizers" of the new album.. so you can judge on your own.
